WOMENS HEALTH

SUWAKA was founded based on over 20 years of direct care in clinical and other settings of
girls to women across the lifespan. Their journey and stories continue to inspire me and those I
get the privilege of nuturing to date. Empowering women begins with education and support
from the earliest stages of life, especially during puberty—when the “RED RIVER RISES”—
marking the beginning of a powerful, lifelong journey. By providing holistic care that nurtures
the soul, mind and body is essential as girls grow into young women, they step into the OFFICE
OF WOMANHOOD, exploring intimacy, building relationships, navigating a fast-paced system
and learning to advocate for their own health and that of others they have been entrusted. As they
step into motherhood, family planning, comprehensive care and community support play a
crucial role in raising the next generation. Women’s health advocacy must extend across the
lifespan, recognizing the evolving needs of each life phase. Soon enough, Perimenopause and
MENOPAUSE arrive in “grand fashion”, often unannounced, bringing a mix of delights and
challenges that deserve compassionate and informed care in order to navigate the confusion and
complexities of caring for a “self” you do not recognize anymore, this can be shocking and scary.
SUWAKA intentionally makes a commitment to nurturing and educating women at every stage
fosters resilience, self-awareness, and a thriving, empowered community regionally and globally.
Having cared for women from all over the world, it continues to be an honor to journey with
them as I live the same experiences. It is in these intimate conversations during a clinical visit or
counseling session that we get to know each other and then in those small group meetings and
larger settings. We must continue to educate and advocate for the ability to provide informed
decision-making and this is empowering!

SEXUAL HEALTH

Sexual health is an essential part of overall well-being, and it’s time we recognize it as such,
normalize the conversations. Sex is INNATE, NORMAL, OKAY, and sex is FUN! Well if done
right and that takes practice/communication/entrusted intimacy and the list goes on, but it must
ALWAYS be consensual AND within the legal limits of consent!! Consent is not optional—NO
still means NO, it is a complete sentence, and respecting boundaries is fundamental even within
the confines of a monogamous relationship. Understanding your sexual self is crucial because
knowing your needs, limits, and desires helps you advocate for your soul, mind, and body.
Counseling services for individuals and couples are available to provide a safe, supportive space
for exploring sexuality, addressing concerns, and building healthy sexual relationships. At
SUWAKA, we are committed to opening up conversations about sex, reducing harmful myths
and misinformation, and empowering people to make informed decisions about their sexual
health. We recognize that sexual health education is often lacking or distorted in many spaces,
leading to confusion, shame, and risky decisions. That’s why we prioritize candid, evidence-
based information about STDs, sexual self-awareness, and the joy and responsibility that come
with sexual intimacy. Our mission is to strengthen the community by creating inclusive,
educational environments where discussions about sexuality are welcomed, not silenced. We are
dedicated to answering your questions honestly and compassionately, ensuring you receive the
best care and information in one of the most important aspects of your life—your sexuality.
Together, we will build a future where sex is celebrated as a natural, healthy part of being human, and where every individual feels empowered to embrace it safely and joyfully. Feel free to make
private consultations as well as group and continue to educate/inform our children and young
adults about safe practices in a holistic way that again encompasses the soul, mind and body!

MENTORSHIP

Mentorship is a critical tool in raising a generation of strong, insightful leaders among our youth,
both girls and boys, ladies and gentlemen by providing them with education, guidance, nurturing,
and real-life experiences to incite thought-provoking conversations and trigger fruitful roots to
help nurture EI- emotional intelligence which is once of the key components in living your life, it
needs to me mastered! SUWAKA is committed to partnering with various organizations to create
mentorship opportunities at every level—from individuals to small and large groups—to build a
culture of leadership and resilience. We believe that mentorship does not end with youth; it is a
lifelong journey, as I myself have been mentored and continue to be, finding it invaluable at
every stage. Our vision is to foster a community where mentorship becomes a fundamental
guide, helping individuals navigate the complexities of life and empowering them to thrive. One
of our key initiatives, THRIVING IN TRANSITION, will focus on equipping our youth and
others with the skills and wisdom needed to face the challenges that come with every phase of
life. With the support of experienced specialists, we aim to provide consistent guidance as our
communities face new and evolving transitions. Even mentoring one person at a time is a
powerful act, because that one person could become a leader, an advocate, a voice of hope, and
eventually, a mentor to others. Mentors are not perfect but are dedicated to providing insight to
life and professional experiences to help the mentee navigate an ever changing, unpredictable
world with knowledge and guidance to succeed and YES …..we were not just meant to
SURVIVE… BUT THRIVE!
SUWAKA intends to achieve its mission through personal counseling, group education sessions,
key note speaking, mentorship, blogs/vlogs, social media and yes, THE PODCAST: SUWAKA-
The ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM! We plan to create awareness in an easy-going environment
that simplifies complex topics in womens/sexual health that allows the audience to feel free to express themselves as we share this journey called life.
